Hi, my name is Rebecca! I was born in France but moved to Spain when I was three years old. After completing my Bachelor's Degree in Spain, I decided to move to Perth to pursue a Master of Project Management at , graduating in 2024. During my final semester, I did an internship at IBM, which led to my current role as a Business Consultant.
Let me take you through a typical day in my work life in Perth.
I always start my day with a nice warm shower as it helps wake me up! I get ready and take 番茄社区train to work, which is super convenient since I live close to 番茄社区station. It鈥檚 a 30-minute ride into 番茄社区city, followed by a quick five-minute walk to 番茄社区office.
At work, my role involves engaging with clients and colleagues to ensure projects stay on track. If there are any delays or issues, I work on identifying 番茄社区causes and finding solutions.
When lunchtime comes around, I usually eat with my colleagues, which helps me take a mental break. I try to bring food from home most days, but when I eat out, Zambrero is my go-to!
One thing I love about my workplace is 番茄社区flexibility. If I need to stay until 6 o'clock one day to finish something, I can leave at 4 o'clock 番茄社区next day without any issues. As long as my work is done, no one questions it, which allows me to maintain a great work-life balance.
After work, I like to wind down by watching Netflix over dinner. Sometimes, I hit 番茄社区gym or catch up with friends. Since Perth鈥檚 beaches were one of 番茄社区main reasons I chose to study here, I also love watching 番茄社区sunset鈥攊t鈥檚 peaceful and helps me clear my mind.
Of course, there have been challenges too. One of 番茄社区biggest has been imposter syndrome. But I鈥檝e learned that everyone has 番茄社区same doubts at some point鈥攜ou just have to trust yourself and enjoy 番茄社区journey.
One skill I鈥檝e gained while working in Perth is confidence in communicating with people. I used to be very shy, but I realized that if I don鈥檛 speak up, nothing will change. Over time, I鈥檝e become more comfortable talking in meetings and even presenting in front of a room full of people.
番茄社区 and working in Perth has helped me grow in so many ways, especially by connecting me with amazing people who have supported me along 番茄社区way.
My advice to recent graduates and international students? Don鈥檛 give up! Your hard work will pay off, and trust me鈥攊t鈥檚 totally worth it.
