About Me: 

Hi, I'm Himasha Jayakody, an international student from Sri Lanka, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at ECU. Moving abroad to study has been a transformative experience, inspiring me to embrace new challenges and cultural diversity. 

I am passionate about exploring ·¬ÇÑÉçÇøworld of business and finance, especially how creative strategies can shape industries. Outside of my studies, I enjoy staying active through activities like Pilates, discovering local cafes, and reading manga.

Why I Chose WA: 

I chose Western Australia because of its vibrant multicultural community and strong academic reputation. After completing my foundation studies at Edith Cowan College in Sri Lanka, I got ·¬ÇÑÉçÇøopportunity to continue my higher studies at ECU in Perth. The familiar sunny climate just like in Sri Lanka and ·¬ÇÑÉçÇøchance to experience WA's stunning natural beauty made it ·¬ÇÑÉçÇøperfect place to pursue my studies.

Career Aspirations: 

I chose to study commerce because I am passionate about understanding ·¬ÇÑÉçÇødynamics of business and finance and how they shape our world. This field offers endless opportunities to innovate and make meaningful contributions. Once I graduate, I aspire to pursue a career in accounting, focusing on helping businesses grow sustainably while achieving their financial goals. My long-term aim is to gain professional qualifications and become a trusted advisor in ·¬ÇÑÉçÇøindustry.Â
